Several schools closed for a week on account of the flu epidemic with many children reportedly sick. The epidemic seems to be still spreading in the city. 399 new cases reported yesterday for the 48 hours ending at 10:00 am yesterday. Of these 289 for 24 hours alone. There were 10 deaths from the flu, 36 from lobar pneumonia and 11 from broncho-pneumonia between noon Saturday and midnight Sunday.
